Udey Mudgal has worked on various facets of live commercial construction projects performing estimation, bid proposals, resource planning, budget development, and scheduling work for general contractors. Mr. Mudgal also performed on-site owner’s representation, construction management, quality assurance, change order management on active construction projects. He has also performed retrospective delay analysis using various methods, critiqued and created claims for additional cost, and prepared reports and presentations for litigation.

Mr. Mudgal has a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, with his studies and thesis focused on Construction Management, from The Pennsylvania State University. He also completed his Business Fundamentals certification from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Mudgal has experience in working on aviation, commercial, healthcare, highway, industrial, self-storage, and residential construction projects ranging from $2M to over $500M.

    • Performed preliminary and prospective Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and subsequent cost analysis for a $500M renovation project to one of the most prestigious performance art centers in the world located in Lower Manhattan.

    • Assessed prospective and retrospective TIAs for Maryland DoT’s highway & toll projects on behalf of the owner to evaluate contractor-caused delays.

    • Created a database from four years of Production Per Day job performance data to better evaluate future bid estimates. Upon completion, the findings not only created company-wide standards for labor productivity, material use, and cost, but also identified unknown project delays resulting in $2.5M in claims. The database was then used as a baseline in estimating and planning weekly on-site production and labor.

    • Assembled detailed project budgets, statements of work, and take-offs on a $500M, multiple-location, e-commerce fulfillment centers. The general contractor subsequently won the bid for the New York location and constructed a $100M robotic warehouse. Responsible for scheduling and managing required sector closures and shutdowns.

    • On-site owner’s representative for the construction of 450 affordable housing units south of Baltimore, Maryland. Monitored quality control, daily schedule performance, and progress. Responsible for reporting, remediation, and communication with owners.

    • Performed change order management, estimating, and design updates for a fire protection subcontractor on the $500M, 90,000 SF Perelman Performing Arts Center at the 9/11 Memorial site. This complex project involved the installation of moving partitions that could be arranged into 60 different configurations. Responsible for change order management and delay analysis.

    • Planned weekly cashflow and financial reports for $50M in active development projects, accounting for payroll, pay applications, general conditions, bank draws, and investor contributions for a real estate developer in New York.
